The UK Tamaskan Dog is marketed by the Tamaskan Dog Register as the"wolfdog without the wolf". This concept has attracted many and has been successfully used to promote Tamaskan ownership and interest in breeding throughout Europe and the U.S. After all, what a wonderful idea! What a phenomenal option for those who love wolves but do not believe in breeding wolfdogs or trying to domesticate a wolf as a pet.

Add to that the claims of sweet, mild temperament typical of companion dogs, along with the absence of any significant health problems, and you have a dream come true . . . OR a wonderful hoax perpetrated on the public. It is unfortunate that the latter of the two is what, through well-documented evidence and personal experiences, has proven to be the case.
